I remember John from when I was a school girl because Ian was friends with my brothers. He always reminded me of Richard Briers from the Good Life! The last time I spoke to him about 20 years ago (via Ian) he surprisingly remembered me. Always found him to be a really nice man. Really sorry he's no longer with us and sincere condolences to Ian and Ed.
